Electrical Applications Specialist

At G&W Electric Co, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Applications Specialist to join our Inside Sales Team. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to review customer requirements, technical specifications, and prepare quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering specifications and select equipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare product quotations and bids for engineered packages.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers to address technical/commercial inquiries.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for our outside sales force, consultants, and customers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on various projects as needed.
  • Interface with Engineering and Product Management teams on product design/capability inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a strong preference for Electrical or Mechanical specialization.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as an applications engineer, inside sales, or related areas preferably in industrial/manufacturing settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with JDE and Salesforce software is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure or prior experience with electrical switchgear/design would be a definite asset.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • General Office Environment, PC use.
