Electrical Applications Specialist

At G&W Electric Co, we are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Electrical Applications Specialist to join our Inside Sales Team. As an Applications Engineer, you will work collaboratively with your team to review customer requirements, technical specifications, and prepare quotations to ensure customer needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting engineering specifications and selecting equipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Preparing product quotations and bids for engineered packages.
  • Ongoing communication with customers and suppliers to address technical/commercial inquiries.
  • Providing technical support and expertise for our outside sales force, consultants, and customers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on various projects as needed.
  • Interface with Engineering and Product Management teams on product design/capability inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a strong preference for Electrical, Mechanical specialization.
  • 1 to 3 Years of experience as an applications engineer, inside sales, or related areas preferably in industrial/manufacturing settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with JDE and Salesforce software is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure or prior experience with electrical switchgear/design would be a definite asset.
