About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ski and Snowboard Equipment Technician to join our team at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. As a key member of our rental and repair team, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience on the mountain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain rental and guest ski and snowboard equipment to the highest standards.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to exceeding guest expectations through exceptional customer service and a passion for the mountain lifestyle.
  • Perform all cash handling duties, including opening, cash balancing, and closing.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to guests on equipment selection, fitting, and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Assist with merchandise management, including stocking, facing, and general tidying of the rental area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Previous rental experience and extensive experience tuning ski and snowboard equipment.
  • Expertise in fitting ski and snowboard equipment, particularly boot fitting.
  • Familiarity with gear tuning equipment, including base grinder, stone grinder, and ceramic disk edge finisher.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Passion for mountain culture, skiing, and snowboarding.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with experience working with diverse groups of people.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale applications.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
