About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Supervisor to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a key member of our retail store operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our meat department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Meat Manager in all aspects of meat operations, including inventory control, ordering, and receiving.
- Oversee daily operations in the meat department to maintain excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our members.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve profitability in the meat department.
- Lead and motivate a team of meat department team members, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service across the store.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental goals and objectives, aligning with the company's overall strategy.
- Perform general duties, as assigned, including backup support for the Meat Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail meat department, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of meat operations, including inventory control, ordering, and receiving.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive sales growth and improve profitability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide excellent service to our members.
