Your role within the team

As a key contributor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure and applications on a daily basis.
  • Deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on cloud platforms.
  • Implementing and overseeing cloud infrastructure, including the provisioning of compute, storage, network, and security resources.
  • Automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Collaborating with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
  • Analyzing cloud systems to ensure compliance with performance, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitoring cloud systems for performance, availability, and security issues, and responding to incidents or alerts.
  • Tracking budgeted cloud costs and collaborating on cost optimization strategies.
  • Implementing and managing cloud-based backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Working with development teams to ensure cloud infrastructure and applications meet performance, security, and scalability standards.
  • Collaborating with internal architects, vendor partners, IT teams, stakeholders, and business units to ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with their needs.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Staying informed about the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.

How to excel in this position

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an IT capacity.
  • Certifications in AWS cloud solution foundations.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, network, and security.
  • Experience in cloud-native application development, including microservices and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization, and hosted services.
  • Understanding of cloud-based automation and management tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with cloud security and compliance best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools for cloud systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in both English and French, both verbally and in writing.
