Reporting to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering, goeasy is looking for a skilled Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer (Azure) to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our expanding infrastructure and network. You will collaborate with a talented group of engineers focused primarily on Infrastructure, encompassing both Azure Infrastructure and Network management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect enhancements or new solutions within Microsoft Azure and alternative cloud environments.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Cloud Engineers, Application Administrators, Data Engineers, DBAs, and DevOps teams to specify, design, develop, test, and implement cloud services and solutions.
- Provide mentorship and expertise to team members, fostering efficiency, productivity, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across various teams.
- Lead DevOps initiatives to optimize environment deployment and maintenance processes.
- Support the data solutions team in their operational tasks and projects.
- Regularly assess cloud applications, designs, and best practices.
- Engage closely with internal business partners to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, manage technical operations, and address operational issues.
- Work with internal architecture, infrastructure, governance, and security teams to ensure compliance with security, governance, and business continuity requirements and best practices.
- Continuously enhance the triage and escalation process for system availability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for various environments.
- Identify repetitive tasks and create tools and/or processes for automation.
- Stay informed about current technology trends and best practices.
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in estimating effort, material costs, and other project-related metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations, with a minimum of 3 years in Azure.
- Experience managing Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Proficient in scripting and coding, including Azure CLI and Python.
- Extensive experience in DevOps practices, with hands-on experience using Git and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform.
- Expertise in Azure Data Solutions, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake.
- Strong knowledge of core cloud services such as VMs, Containers, App Services, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Application Gateways, Load balancers, and Storage accounts.
- Comprehensive understanding of key technological concepts such as IT architecture, Cloud technologies, applications, network infrastructure, and security is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, testing, and deploying enterprise and multi-cloud network infrastructure.
- Good understanding of Agile/Lean principles such as Scrum, Kanban, MVP, etc.
- Experience managing vendor-provided services, including outsourcing arrangements.
- Experience working within a structured process methodology.
- Strong systems aptitude with demonstrated project management and planning skills; capable of balancing strategic and tactical execution.
