We are seeking a talented Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer (Azure) to join our Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our expanding cloud infrastructure and network. You will collaborate with a skilled team of engineers focused on Infrastructure, with responsibilities spanning both Azure Infrastructure and Network management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect enhancements or new solutions within Microsoft Azure and other cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Cloud Engineers, Application Administrators, Data Engineers, DBAs, and DevOps professionals to specify, design, develop, test, and implement cloud services and solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to team members, fostering efficiency, productivity, and innovation across teams.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance DevOps practices for streamlined deployment and maintenance.
  • Support the data solutions team in their operational tasks and projects.
  • Regularly assess cloud applications, designs, and best practices for optimization.
  • Engage with internal business partners to gather requirements, design and implement solutions, manage technical operations, and resolve operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal architecture, infrastructure, governance, and security teams to ensure compliance with security, governance, and business continuity standards.
  • Continuously refine the triage and escalation processes for system availability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for various environments.
  • Identify repetitive tasks and create tools or processes for automation.
  • Stay informed on current technology trends and best practices.
  • Address technical issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in estimating effort, material costs, and other project requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations, with at least 3 years focused on Azure.
  • Experience managing Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Proficiency in scripting and coding languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Python.
  • Extensive experience with DevOps methodologies, including hands-on experience with Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform.
  • Expertise in Azure Data Solutions, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lake.
  • Solid understanding of core cloud services such as VMs, Containers, App Services, Virtual Networks, NSGs, Application Gateways, Load Balancers, and Storage Accounts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT architecture, cloud technologies, applications, network infrastructure, and security principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, testing, and deploying enterprise and multi-cloud network infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Agile/Lean principles such as Scrum, Kanban, and MVP.
  • Experience managing vendor services and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Familiarity with structured process methodologies (e.g., ITIL).
  • Demonstrated project management and planning skills, balancing strategic and tactical execution.
