F. Ménard is in search of a dedicated local hog transport operator responsible for the careful loading and unloading of livestock.
Job Type/Schedule: Permanent, full-time, daytime/evening shifts, averaging 53 hours per week.
Location: Departing from the garage in Ange-Gardien.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle prior to each departure.
- Efficiently load hogs onto the transport vehicle.
- Safely transport hogs from farms to processing facilities and ensure proper unloading.
- Operate and maintain the vehicle in a professional manner.
- Adhere to all biosafety protocols.
- Complete vehicle inspection reports and any related documentation accurately.
Ideal Candidates Will:
- Possess a valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
- Be physically fit and maintain a calm demeanor.
- Have a solid understanding of transportation regulations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to animal welfare standards.
- Communicate effectively and courteously.
In addition to technical expertise, the transporter must be diligent in adhering to the various regulations, standards, and protocols established by the organization.
