Position Summary:
As a key member of our mechanical services team, the Automotive Service Technician - Red Seal is tasked with performing diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and maintenance on vehicles as assigned. This role demands a commitment to maintaining high standards of technical efficiency while adhering to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general repair services through mechanical inspections and repairs, including brake jobs, exhaust systems, front-end alignments, ball joints, air conditioning, and maintenance of auction vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil and fluid changes, tire rotations, and general vehicle assessments, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
  • Execute pre and post-sale inspections as part of the Buyer Protection Plan.
  • Carry out motor vehicle safety inspections, including checks on body, frame, damage, transmission, differential, and overall powertrain, completing the necessary safety checklist.
  • Inspect vehicle undercarriages for any signs of damage, such as cracks or bends.
  • Maintain the shop environment, including moving vehicles into the shop and conducting test drives for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assist in sourcing parts and providing estimates to customers as needed.
  • Complete work orders, including parts and labor documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience & Educational Requirements:
  • Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification is mandatory.
  • License for Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI) is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the repair and servicing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems across various vehicle types.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license in BC is required.
  • Must provide a satisfactory driver's abstract and criminal record check.
  • Basic computer skills and smartphone proficiency are essential.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including Monday to Saturday.
