Position Overview:
As a vital member of our mechanical services division, the Automotive Service Technician - Red Seal plays a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining vehicles assigned to them. This position demands a commitment to upholding high standards of technical proficiency while adhering to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mechanical inspections and repairs, including brake systems, exhaust systems, front-end alignments, and air conditioning services.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid replacements, tire rotations, and thorough vehicle assessments.
  • Execute pre-sale and post-sale inspections as part of the Buyer Protection Plan.
  • Carry out motor vehicle safety inspections, assessing body integrity, frame condition, and overall powertrain functionality.
  • Inspect vehicle undercarriages for structural integrity, ensuring no damage is present.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, including vehicle movement and test driving for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assist in sourcing parts and providing cost estimates to customers as needed.
  • Complete work orders with accurate parts and labor documentation.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification.
  • License for Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI) is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems across various vehicle types.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license in British Columbia is required.
  • Must provide a satisfactory driver's abstract and undergo a criminal record check.
  • Basic computer skills and smartphone proficiency are necessary.
  • Availability for a flexible work schedule, including Monday to Saturday.
