Position Summary:
As a key member of our mechanical services team, the Automotive Service Technician - Red Seal is tasked with performing diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and maintenance on vehicles as assigned. This role demands adherence to high standards of technical efficiency while complying with all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general repair services through mechanical inspections and repairs, including brake jobs, exhaust systems, front-end alignments, ball joints, air conditioning, and maintenance of auction vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil and fluid changes, tire changes, and comprehensive vehicle check-ups, ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures.
  • Execute pre and post-sale inspections as part of the Buyer Protection Plan.
  • Carry out motor vehicle safety inspections, assessing body, frame, and damage, as well as transmission and overall powertrain checks, completing the necessary safety checklist.
  • Conduct frame inspections by examining vehicle undercarriages for any signs of damage.
  • Maintain the shop environment, including pulling vehicles into the shop and test-driving for diagnostic purposes.
  • Assist in sourcing parts and providing quotes to customers as needed.
  • Complete work orders, including parts and labor entries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification is mandatory.
  • License for Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI) is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the repair and servicing of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems across various vehicle types.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license in BC is required.
  • Must provide a satisfactory driver's abstract and criminal record check.
  • Basic computer skills and smartphone utilization are essential.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required, with availability from Monday to Saturday.
