Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled PR Account Manager to enhance our team in delivering comprehensive account services to our clients. This role is pivotal in supporting our senior management and ensuring the successful execution of public relations strategies.
As part of a dynamic and experienced team, you will play a crucial role in executing innovative PR campaigns, managing media relations, and organizing press events. This position allows for a blend of remote and in-office work, promoting flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for client accounts while effectively managing any media-related crises or issues.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with key media contacts at local, national, and international levels to enhance client visibility across various sectors, including travel, hospitality, and lifestyle.
- Organize and host events, including dinners, site tours, and media/influencer trips.
- Plan and manage media outreach initiatives, including influencer partnerships, gifting, and client engagement activities.
- Collaborate with the agency director on business development efforts to attract new clients and projects, contributing to pitch development and presentations.
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate with agency partners to uphold best practices and agency standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in public relations or a related field.
- Proven account management experience.
- Proficiency in design and marketing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and MailerLite.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with the Canadian media landscape and a robust network of media contacts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of both traditional and digital communication platforms.
- Previous agency experience.
- Background in travel or hospitality sectors.
- Experience in event planning.
- Ideally, a degree or diploma in Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
