Position Overview
The role of the Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE) involves crafting and executing tailored technology designs for voice, data, and dedicated Internet solutions tailored to our business clientele. Utilizing engineering expertise, the CSE conducts design assessments, estimates costs, and initiates approval workflows to ensure projects are both profitable and beneficial for the company and its customers. Acting as the primary project management lead, the CSE facilitates a seamless network development process. This position requires collaboration with various internal teams and external partners to harness the best resources for delivering high-quality, customized services efficiently and cost-effectively. Additionally, the CSE will work closely with Senior Network Engineering to gain insights into the configurations of Telephone, Video, IP, and Transport Networks, ensuring compliance with national engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technology designs for customer-specific solutions.
- Conduct design analysis and cost estimation for projects.
- Lead project management efforts to ensure efficient network development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Work with the Network Engineering team to meet technical specifications.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required, preferably in Electrical or Industrial disciplines.
- Familiarity with network design principles is advantageous.
- Experience in telecommunications, particularly in telephone and data networks, is preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Visio.
- A valid driver's license is required for potential travel.
- Certifications such as SS&, SIP, CCNA, or CCNP are considered assets.
- Awareness of Security/Cyber Security practices.
Additional Information
The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 upon hire, in accordance with Federal Human Rights law.
