Key Responsibilities
POSITION OVERVIEW:
SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA is committed to providing exceptional operational services to its clients within the Global Banking & Investor Solutions sector. Our Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) team is integral in delivering innovative solutions and operational excellence to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.
DAILY TASKS INCLUDE:
- Overseeing settlement processes for Money Market, Interest Trade, and Credit Trading Activities, ensuring thorough reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Facilitating prompt affirmation of OTC Derivative trade settlements while managing unmatched transactions effectively.
- Authorizing and dispatching payment messages prior to currency cut-off times.
- Guaranteeing the successful generation and distribution of payment messages.
- Maintaining and updating static data and settlement instructions for clients and counterparties.
- Identifying, monitoring, and ensuring the timely settlement of all payments.
- Managing failures and resolving issues related to OTC Derivative cash settlements.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and efficiently addressing client inquiries.
- Conducting investigations across product lines by extracting relevant data and collaborating with the Middle Office.
- Complying with established policies, procedures, best practices, and management goals.
- Diagnosing root causes of discrepancies and proposing sustainable solutions.
- Working hours aligned with the US calendar, with flexibility to work between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM on a rotational basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in settlement operations for OTC Derivatives.
- In-depth understanding of operational risk management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of drawing insightful business conclusions and recommendations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Language Proficiency:
Proficiency in both French and English is required, with a strong emphasis on effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing, as collaboration with colleagues and partners in the United States is a regular part of this role.
