Housekeeping Room Attendant Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn Burlington. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, and stock linen closets.
  • Guest Services: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities.
  • Housekeeping Operations: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Work Environment: Work independently, in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs), bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, standing for extended periods, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics, and patience.
