About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Truck Driver to join our team at Metropolitan Transport Ltd. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Tractor-Trailer: Safely drive a tractor-trailer, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, to transport goods across various routes.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, including updates on delivery status and any issues encountered during transport.
  • Maintain Vehicle Records: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment, to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Valid AZ Class License: Possess a valid AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of [insert experience] years of experience driving a tractor-trailer.
