The Role

In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure the integrity, availability, and security of our organization's valuable data assets. You will collaborate closely with diverse teams across the company to establish robust data standards, monitor compliance, and drive continuous improvement in data quality and governance practices.

This position demands exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working directly with senior-level staff, building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect. Your ability to actively listen and understand the needs of stakeholders will be essential to your success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to effectively manage organizational data assets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all departments to define data governance requirements and standards, encompassing data classification, data quality, data privacy, and data security.
  • Establish robust data governance frameworks and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices.
  • Design and implement data quality assessment frameworks and metrics to measure and enhance the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
  • Partner with data stewards and data owners to identify and resolve data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of data governance processes and controls to pinpoint areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
  • Provide guidance and support to business units in the development and implementation of data governance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to raise awareness and understanding of data governance principles across the organization.
