Legal Consultant

At Mercer Canada, we're seeking a talented Legal Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our consultants and clients with expert legal advice on registered pension plans, savings plans, and employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex projects related to pension plans, savings plans, taxation, and benefits.
  • Develop pension, savings plans, and employee benefit documents.
  • Collaborate with clients and their legal counsel to find practical solutions to retirement savings arrangements and employee benefits.
  • Stay up-to-date on legal developments and participate in training and professional development activities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working independently and as part of a team with Mercer legal and tax professionals and other consultants.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in pension and employee benefit law or a related legal field.
  • Relevant experience in taxation is considered an asset.
  • Bilingual French (verbal/written) is a plus.
