Account Manager, Sales & Leasing Role

At Maxim Truck and Trailer, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Account Manager to join our sales team. As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new business through cold-calls, regular follow-ups, and building customer relationships
  • Manage lease accounts to ensure fleet availability meets customer needs
  • Prepare sales quotes that ensure profitable sales and customer satisfaction
  • Closing sales deals accurately using proper procedures
  • Address after-sales questions and concerns, and ensure units are prepared for on-time delivery
  • Appraise trade-ins by compiling history details, visual inspection, and discussions with customers
  • Perform yard checks of units, if needed, and communicate with other branches and departments
  • Complete administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of front-line customer service and sales experience
  • 1+ years in the truck and trailer industry
  • Background in sales and administration
  • Sales/business administration courses an asset
  • Understanding of fleet maintenance practices an asset
  • Driver's License; Class 1 or 3 with air brakes an asset
  • Customer service and sales focused
  • Easily builds rapport and relationships with people at all levels
  • Ability to prospect new customers and up-sell products
  • Strong negotiation, listening, and closing skills
  • Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines
  • Regularly sets and meets priorities and long-term goals
