Account Manager, Sales and Leasing Role
At Maxim Truck and Trailer, our Account Managers play a vital role in building strong relationships with our customers. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for prospecting new business, managing lease accounts, and preparing sales quotes that meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect new business through cold-calls, regular follow-ups, and building customer relationships
- Manage lease accounts to ensure fleet availability meets customer needs
- Prepare sales quotes that ensure profitable sales and customer satisfaction
- Closing sales deals accurately using proper procedures
- Address after-sales questions and concerns, and ensure units are prepared for on-time delivery
- Appraise trade-ins by compiling history details, visual inspection, and discussions with customers
- Perform yard checks of units, if needed, and communicate with other branches and departments
- Complete administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of front-line customer service and sales experience
- 1+ years in the truck and trailer industry
- Background in sales and administration
- Sales/business administration courses an asset
- Understanding of fleet maintenance practices an asset
- Driver's license; Class 1 or 3 with air brakes an asset
- Customer service and sales-focused
- Easily builds rapport and relationships with people at all levels
- Ability to prospect new customers and up-sell products
- Strong negotiation, listening, and closing skills
- Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines
- Regularly sets and meets priorities and long-term goals
- Attentive to detail, shows accuracy in work
- Self-managed and shows initiative
- Proficient with MS Excel/Word, email, internet, and keyboarding
