About the Role

Hansra Law is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Paralegal to join our team. As a Business Development Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our lawyers and clients in the development and growth of their businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide strategic legal and business advice to clients, helping them navigate complex business transactions and agreements.
  • Contract Management: Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other documents to ensure they meet the needs of our clients and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Corporate Filings: Organize and coordinate corporate filings and entity registrations, ensuring compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
  • Transaction Support: Assist with negotiating and preparing key transactional documents and ancillary agreements, tracking the status of negotiations, and preparing summaries of key terms.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on their business and contract matters.
  • Precedent Database Management: Manage and update our precedent database with new types of contracts and custom-drafted clauses.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Licensed paralegal in Ontario with experience in corporate, franchise, or transactional law.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in business, franchise, or commercial transactional law in Ontario.
  • Skills: Strong drafting and negotiation skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal technology.
