Position: Manufacturing Controller

Compensation: $45.00 to $65.00 hourly

CB Canada is looking for a Manufacturing Controller for a temporary assignment with potential for extension or permanent placement. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial statements and accompanying notes for the manufacturing facility
  • Manage and oversee the trial balance
  • Facilitate month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Monitor and control plant and site expenditures
  • Implement cost control measures and ensure accurate coding
  • Conduct inventory assessments
  • Manage foreign exchange rates
  • Generate monthly financial reports
  • Supervise a team of three finance staff members
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation or in progress, or a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, or relevant experience in a similar position
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, or mining environments
  • Bilingual proficiency (English reports, French work environment)
  • Comprehensive understanding of the complete accounting cycle
  • Experience in metal fabrication and/or extraction industries
  • Proficient in advanced Excel (without macros)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or SAGE software
