Position Overview

Hasbro Inc. is seeking a Senior Level Designer to take a leading role in crafting expansive and immersive game environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design captivating worlds that enhance gameplay and storytelling. Your expertise will be essential in guiding the gameplay mechanics and narrative elements of our game universe.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with narrative and artistic teams to translate the overarching narrative, gameplay, and artistic vision into a cohesive and expansive game world.
  2. Share your expertise and insights with the level design team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  3. Design and refine the layout, geography, and visual aesthetics of game levels, ensuring a seamless integration of storytelling and gameplay.
  4. Work in tandem with artists to weave environmental storytelling elements into the game, maintaining visual coherence with the overall artistic direction.
  5. Implement and enhance gameplay mechanics within the game world, ensuring an engaging and immersive player experience.
  6. Provide technical design support by leveraging your experience in risk assessment.
Qualifications
  1. 8+ years of experience in the gaming industry as a level designer.
  2. Familiarity with narrative and world design is advantageous.
  3. Strong grasp of spatial dynamics, flow, and pacing.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of environmental storytelling, level design principles, and interactive world-building.
  5. Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  6. A genuine passion for video games and a solid understanding of current industry trends.
  7. Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a plus.
  8. Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
