About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Kidd Ventures Ltd. as a Cashier.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
  • Process Payments: Tabulate total payment for goods or services required, receive payment, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Stock and Clean: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
  • Monitor Entrances and Exits: Ensure all entrances and exits are secure, and request proof of payment when necessary.
  • Verify Age: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work Under Pressure: Maintain composure and work effectively under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, potentially up to 8 hours per day.

  • Reliable: Be reliable and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week.
