Position Overview:

As a Primary Care Paramedic, your primary responsibility will be to transport patients who are ill or injured from emergency scenes or between healthcare facilities. This role involves operating ambulances and assessing emergency situations and patients. You will have the opportunity to provide care by administering basic life support (BLS) measures, including airway adjuncts and semi-automated defibrillation. Additionally, you may lead a BLS team in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes. Ensuring that EMS vehicles are adequately stocked and equipped will also be part of your duties.

Qualifications Required:

- Completion of an accredited Primary Care Paramedic program.
- Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as a Primary Care Paramedic.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- A valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits.
- Successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (test taken within the last six months).
