Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to join our team at Kiewit. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing project controls systems, engineering interfaces, and subcontract and materials management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of contract plans and specifications
  • Inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures
  • Take corrective actions as needed
  • Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with contract plans and specifications
  • Develop and maintain the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software
  • Manage document control, receive and log in new issue drawings and contract documents
  • Review new issue drawings and contract documents for change of conditions
  • Prepare monthly cost projections and quarterly cash flow projections
  • Improve project operations by recommending better methods, staffing, and procedural changes
  • Act as managing project engineer/coordinator on multiple projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and education
  • Professional Engineer designation strongly recommended
  • 5+ years experience in construction or engineering field
  • Demonstrated willingness to relocate
  • Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience required

  • Working knowledge and ability to direct the operation of management systems
