About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Second Cup Coffee. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.
    • Train new staff members in their job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Food Preparation and Quality Control
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
    • Ensure that all food and beverages meet our quality control standards, and that our customers receive a consistent and exceptional dining experience.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and other key performance indicators.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and use this data to inform our business decisions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
