Job Title: Maintenance Engineering Technical Coordinator

At 09 Irving Oil Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineering Technical Coordinator to join our Maintenance Engineering Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our engineers and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our refinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical matters
  • Support the Maintenance Engineering Group Lead in developing and implementing technical standards and procedures
  • Review and approve Engineering Work Orders (EWOs) and Maintenance of Certification (MOCs)
  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance Engineering Group, including piping flexibility analysis and ASME VIII code calculations
  • Develop and provide in-house training to Maintenance Engineers
  • Develop and update internal instructions and standards
  • Manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Participate in the refinery's on-call rotation and provide engineering leadership during annual turnarounds
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience
  • P.Eng. designation is a requirement
  • Experience providing engineering leadership and technical support
  • Experience with relevant ASME and API codes
