About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Display Engineering Team. As a key member, you will contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge LED display components and modules for next-generation products.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with experienced senior engineers to develop complex mechanical systems requiring micron-level tolerances.
  • Design for high-volume manufacturing, ensuring cost optimization and manufacturability.
  • Lead advanced testing and verification procedures using state-of-the-art facilities.
  • Develop a hands-on approach to building and testing prototypes and assemblies.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience designing mechanical devices.
  • Proficiency in 3D parametric solid modeling software and the creation of detailed engineering drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong teamwork abilities and a willingness to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Experience in various design areas, including machined parts, sheet metal components, assemblies, mechanisms, injection molded plastics, castings, and advanced materials.
Assets
  • Experience with component design for automation.
  • Expertise in high-precision gage/fixture design.
  • Familiarity with DFMA, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Poka-Yoke design tools.
  • Mechanical simulation (FEA) tool proficiency.
  • Statistical modeling and analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of machining, manufacturing, and rapid prototyping techniques.
  • Experience in structural, opto-mechanical, electro-mechanical, and thermal design.
  • Ability to work with offshore contract manufacturers.
