About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Support Coach to join our team at Good Shepherd Centres. As a Community Support Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their personal goals and live a fulfilling life in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on assistance to individuals with independent living skills in the community, including cleaning, laundry, and organization.
  • Work collaboratively with individuals in their homes and in community settings to promote their well-being and independence.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Collaborate with the mental health team to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Provide education and training to individuals on life skills, such as cleaning, cooking, and budgeting.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary education in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in mental health, health care, developmental services, and/or concurrent disorders.
  • A 'recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in a language in addition to English is an asset.
