Job Title: Grade 6 Synchronous Teacher

Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre (Sask DLC) is seeking a qualified Grade 6 Synchronous Teacher to join our team. As an online instructor, you will work with students in a virtual environment and be the primary point of contact for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver online lessons to Grade 6 students, covering Saskatchewan Core Curriculum subjects such as English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts Education, Physical and Health Education, and Treaty Education.
  • Develop and implement engaging online learning experiences that cater to diverse student needs and interests.
  • Communicate effectively with parents on student educational needs and progress.
  • Utilize technology, such as Clevr, Moodle, and MySchoolSask, to support online learning and communication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on course development and contribute to the mission and vision of Sask DLC.
Requirements:
  • Experience in elementary education, online teaching, or online program supervision.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility with the capacity to problem-solve.
  • Collegiality and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to communicate clear and effective feedback on student progress.
  • Knowledge of curriculum outcomes and indicators, as well as current instruction and assessment practices.
