About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Substitute Teacher to join our team at the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality online education to students across the province.

The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Practical & Applied Arts, English, Social Studies/History, Financial Literacy/Business/Accounting, Agriculture, and Wellness/Health Education at all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach online courses to students in a virtual environment, providing a quality educational experience and meaningful interactions.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure student success.
  • Utilize technology, such as Clevr, Moodle, and online communication software, to support teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Teaching experience in the subject areas mentioned above.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced online environment.
  • Experience with online teaching and learning platforms.
