Estimator Opportunity at Torus Talent

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to contribute to innovative transit and transportation projects in British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the project scope of work and develop preliminary construction schedules.
  • Prepare accurate estimating and analysis to support successful project delivery.
  • Identify and develop constructability requirements for project construction.
  • Participate in risk identification, cost mitigation, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Review subcontractor bids for irregularities and completeness.
  • Lead bid closing activities with oversight from a senior estimator when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • ~5+ years of construction-related experience, including 2 years of on-site experience in cost estimating or construction management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, scheduling software (Primavera preferred), quantification software (such as OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Agtek), and BIM modeling is an asset.
