Position Overview

The Department of Political Science at McMaster University is seeking candidates for a one-year Limited-Term Academic Appointment (LTA). This role requires a specialization in Canadian politics and/or public policy, particularly focusing on public law and judicial studies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess or be nearing completion of a PhD in Political Science or a closely related field by the commencement of the appointment.

Applicants must exhibit a proven track record of excellence in both teaching and research, alongside a commitment to fostering a collegial and collaborative intellectual environment within the department, as well as contributing to the university's goals of inclusive excellence.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching seven (7) courses annually, primarily at the undergraduate level, and will take on a leadership role in course delivery.
