Position Overview

As the Vice President of Analytics for Canadian Business Banking, you will be responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership in the realm of analytics. Your role will focus on leveraging data and advanced analytical techniques to drive transformation within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic direction for analytics initiatives across Canadian Business Banking (CBB), emphasizing the integration of data-driven insights to shape future business strategies.
  • Collaborate with business units to pinpoint AI applications that can significantly boost operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Foster and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including partners in Data as a Service (DaaS), Control Partners, Data Risk Management (DRM), and Model Validation.
  • Identify and prioritize analytics projects for CBB, engaging with Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) teams to influence project prioritization at the enterprise level.
  • Continuously assess team dynamics, roles, and structures to enhance efficiency in delivering business value.
  • Develop and execute an annual analytics strategy aligned with business objectives and key results (OKRs), encompassing both journey-related and non-journey work.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of CBB customers and their data to uncover new analytics opportunities that align with CBB’s OKRs.
  • Enhance analytical capabilities within CBB, driving transformative initiatives that deliver substantial value.
  • Attract, nurture, and retain top-tier talent to achieve business goals while fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture.
  • Ensure compliance with TD's risk management and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee adherence to established governance principles in analytics practices.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in analytics or advanced data analytics, preferably within the context of business banking products and services.

Educational Background:

  • A Master’s degree in a quantitative field, science, engineering, or business/finance is preferred.
