Strategic Director, Data Insights

As a Strategic Director, Data Insights at Scotiabank, you will play a key role in driving business performance and strategy across International Banking Retail. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in planning, forecasting, and performance management to make a significant impact on the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Strategic Initiatives: Design and execute data-driven strategies to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
- Lead Performance Management: Oversee the development and implementation of performance measurement frameworks, tools, and dashboards to track key performance indicators and drive business results.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Segment, Product, Channel, and Country Leaders to ensure alignment with International Banking Retail's long-term strategy and drive business outcomes.
- Drive Business Insights: Develop and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders, leveraging data and analytics to inform business decisions and drive growth.
- Manage Budget and Resources: Oversee the operating budget planning and day-to-day management for International Banking Retail's central team, ensuring adherence to the Bank's expense policies.
- Develop and Coach Talent: Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and coach stakeholders in the proper use of analytical frameworks, methods, and tools.
- Ensure Risk Management: Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
- Build and Lead High-Performing Teams: Attract, retain, develop, and motivate top talent by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree preferred in Business/Finance/Economics.
- Experience: Proven experience in planning, forecasting, and performance management disciplines, with a strong background in advanced analytics, including Big Data analytics and AI/Machine Learning.
- Skills: Strong financial and business acumen, with a result-oriented and problem-solving mindset, and solid ability to see beyond the numbers to improve business performance.
- Language: Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish is an asset.
