About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team at Colas, a leading provider of construction and maintenance services for transportation infrastructure. As an Asphalt Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our asphalt plants, producing high-quality asphalt products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and operate asphalt plants, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including lubrication and minor repairs
  • Operate a loader to feed the plant and load scale trucks
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly equipment inspections and maintenance logs
  • Collaborate with the plant superintendent to ensure seamless operation and coordinate work
Requirements
  • Welding and mechanical skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Front end Loader experience (Cat 980 or equivalent)
  • Ability to work at heights
