Qualifications

Work Environment
  • Work will be conducted at various locations
  • Focus on residential plumbing projects
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to establish plumbing system layouts, including water supply and waste systems
  • Identify and mark locations for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures
  • Prepare openings in walls and floors for pipe installations
  • Assemble pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering and welding techniques
  • Conduct leak tests on pipes using air and water pressure gauges
  • Assess piping system requirements and determine appropriate pipe sizing
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to specified dimensions
Certifications and Training
  • Must possess a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Completion of Level Two, Three, and Four apprenticeship training is required
Transportation Requirements
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory
Physical Demands
  • Role involves physical labor, including bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work under pressure
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination
Tools and Equipment
  • Must provide own tools
  • Steel-toed safety boots are required
