About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Omega Formwork Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to construct and repair buildings and structures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the structural integrity of our projects.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct site surveys and ensure that building locations and levels are accurately measured and recorded.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including industrial plants and other establishments.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment, often in a combination of sitting, standing and walking.
  • Handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions, including bending, crouching and kneeling.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and judgment skills.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
