Scotiabank is searching for a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge ServiceNow solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance customer experiences.
Your Impact- Strategic Guidance: Collaborate closely with product owners and technical navigators to define roadmaps, sprint plans, and backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Technical Excellence: As a senior developer, you will spearhead the development and configuration of ServiceNow solutions, encompassing workflows, integrations, scripts, and user interfaces, adhering to established standards and best practices.
- Vendor Management: Conduct rigorous vendor governance within the lab, evaluating vendor requirements, solutions, and code against established design principles, architecture guidelines, and coding standards.
- Project Leadership: Provide technical leadership for projects within your domain, overseeing vendor work, offering effort estimates, and delivering timely recommendations on project timelines.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Foster strong partnerships with architects to design robust solutions and ensure comprehensive technical documentation. Actively engage with other labs and their domain leads to address dependencies and foster a collaborative environment.
- Support & Maintenance: Coordinate Level 2/3 support and platform upgrades related to your applications, modules, and components. Lead incident management efforts within your area of expertise.
- Continuous Improvement: Cultivate deep expertise in your functional area, encompassing both policy (e.g., ITIL) and tooling (ServiceNow certifications). Provide valuable insights to product owners regarding new feature opportunities.
- Technical Innovation: Champion the elimination of technical debt within the Scotia ServiceNow platform. Develop solutions that minimize customization, optimize for speed, and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Computer Science Diploma or Degree; or equivalent work experience, coupled with excellent JavaScript skills.
- ITIL Foundation certification or training.
- ServiceNow Advanced System Administrator certification. ServiceNow Scripting certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience within modules/applications (and ServiceNow in general).
- 3-5 years' experience in developing and configuring ServiceNow solutions across various modules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
