About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join TAG HR as a Bilingual Employment and Labor Law Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting legal research and preparing legal documents related to employment and labor law.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on labor and employment law issues to provide expert advice and support to our clients.
- Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, and court filings, to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in the management of cases related to employment and labor law, including navigating and handling cases within the Federal and Superior Court systems.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in labor and employment laws at the federal level to provide informed guidance and support to our clients.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide support in the resolution of Workers' Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) claims to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Interact with clients, legal professionals, and other stakeholders professionally to build strong relationships and provide exceptional service.
- Manage administrative tasks related to legal documentation and scheduling to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Law Clerk or equivalent role with a strong background in labor and employment law.
- Bilingualism in English and French to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
- A Law Clerk, Paralegal, or equivalent diploma to demonstrate expertise and knowledge in labor and employment law.
- Experience with the Federal and Superior Court systems to navigate and handle cases effectively.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills to build strong relationships and provide exceptional service.
- Excellent technical and legal knowledge to provide expert advice and support to our clients.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- WSIB claim experience is an asset to provide effective support and guidance to our clients.
