About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Food Services to join our team at HFX FOODHUB INC. as a key member of our restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Oversee the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate and manage ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet the highest quality standards, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, as well as prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Establish work schedules and coordinate staff rotations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Employee Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
