Job Summary:

The Home Depot Canada is seeking a skilled Freight and Inventory Coordinator to join our Overnight Freight Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient stocking and organization of merchandise on our sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Verify inventory levels, read reports, and utilize computer terminals to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Stocking and Merchandise Management: Stock merchandise onto shelves to achieve 100% in stock, maintain aisle cleanliness, and ensure a pleasant and safe shopping environment.
  • Order Fulfillment: Obtain pick lists, gather merchandise throughout the store, and fill customer orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate with other overnight team members to ensure all products are stocked accurately and efficiently.
  • Freight Handling: Safely move freight from designated staging areas to overheads using the appropriate equipment as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Availability: Ability to work evenings and overnights, including Monday to Friday between 9:30 PM and 6:00 AM.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Equipment Experience: Previous experience with lift equipment, such as forklifts, reach-trucks, and order-pickers, is an asset.
  • Decision Making and Problem Solving: Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are considered an asset, but training will be provided.
