We aim to establish deep and lasting relationships with our clients by delivering value, understanding their requirements, and providing personalized, trustworthy advice.

Key Responsibilities:

If you are a compassionate and analytical individual with strong customer service abilities, this role may be a perfect fit for you.

Your contributions will significantly impact our organization, allowing you to enhance your skills and thrive in our supportive culture. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Impactful Contributions:
    • Manage customer claims from initiation to completion: Arrange towing, schedule appraisals, and explain the customer's coverage under their policy.
    • Collect, organize, and verify necessary information and documentation from various sources to ensure a comprehensive and accurate claims resolution.
    • Evaluate estimates from new and preferred vendors to ensure fair settlements for damages incurred by the customer's vehicle.
    • Contribute to team productivity goals by maintaining a positive file count and open/close ratio.
    • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders, as well as external vendors such as rental services and repair shops.

  • Professional Development:
    • Investigate coverage scenarios and apply this knowledge to customer claims.
    • Learn and embody our customer-centric and strategic objectives while contributing to TD Insurance Group's goals.

  • Cultivating a Supportive Environment:
    • Welcome clients as they arrive at TD Auto Centres.
    • Recognize that each case is unique; apply unbiased and appropriate methods to achieve fair claim resolutions.
    • Clearly communicate claims processing requirements to clients while maintaining detailed claims notes and providing timely updates and responses to inquiries.
    • Actively participate as a team member and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

We take pride in our diverse workforce. If you possess relevant experience not listed below, please share it in your resume or cover letter.

  • One or more years of experience in claims adjusting is preferred, but we welcome applicants without specific claims experience who are eager to learn about the industry; postsecondary education is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional customer service skills; committed to meeting or exceeding the expectations of both internal and external clients.
  • Strong time management abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Proven negotiation skills to achieve positive outcomes when feasible.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong active listening capabilities.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations; effectively analyze evidence and identify discrepancies or gaps in data and reports.
  • Demonstrated support for process improvements within the organization.
  • Candidates actively pursuing their Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and/or other relevant continuing education are preferred.
  • Provincial claims licensing may be required.
