Job Summary

Sander Geophysics Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Commander to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe operation of the aircraft and all personnel on board during flight.
  • Assist in monitoring onboard geophysical equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections and complete post-flight reports.
  • Liaise with foreign aviation authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Review and familiarize yourself with each flight's planned route, aerodromes, and survey navigation equipment to ensure a safe and successful mission.
  • Verify that all necessary equipment, including emergency, survival, and safety equipment, is installed and functioning properly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold a valid commercial pilot's license with a group 1 instrument rating.
  • Have a minimum of 1,000 total hours of flight experience.
  • Hold a valid passport or be able to obtain one for global travel.
  • Be willing to travel to our global survey sites.
  • Low-level survey flying experience is an asset.
  • International flying experience is an asset.
  • Experience on Cessna Grand Caravans is highly desirable.
  • Additional languages are an asset.
