Job Title: National Process Excellence Manager

Are you a process improvement expert looking to advance your career in logistics? Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a National Process Excellence Manager to join our Black Belt team in Mississauga.

Your Role

As a National Process Excellence Manager, you will support cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining a comprehensive process mapping system, utilizing methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma to address inefficiencies, designing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), mentoring personnel, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives that meet performance and cost targets.
  • Teach Yellow Belt and Green Belt Certification Course to employees across business units.
  • Conduct awareness workshops to promote continuous improvement and attract participation in the CI program.
  • Mentor Yellow Belt candidates and coach them to complete their certification.
  • Drive growth in the Yellow Belt population and increase belt population.
  • Develop course content for Yellow Belt and Green Belt programs in collaboration with the Master Black Belt.
  • Lead process improvement projects, analyze outcomes, and create improvement opportunities using digital process analytics tools.
  • Ensure that improvement efforts yield measurable benefits, whether in terms of cost savings or intangible gains such as time efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with deployment champions from each business unit to implement the continuous improvement framework.
  • Establish strong partnerships with business units to foster successful continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodology is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in process improvement or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, insurance, or banking industry is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Experience as a Lean Sensei or equivalent is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a similar project management certification is a plus.
