Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pest Management Specialist to join our team at Local Pest Control. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring a pest-free environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and surrounding areas to identify signs of pest infestations.
  • Cost Estimation: Provide clients with accurate estimates for pest control services.
  • Treatment Determination: Assess the type of treatment necessary for effective pest management.
  • Chemical Application: Prepare and apply chemical mixtures to affected areas.
  • Fumigation: Carry out fumigation processes for infested properties.
  • Animal Control: Set traps and install barriers to manage wildlife issues.
  • Pest Prevention: Advise clients on preventive measures to avoid future infestations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in pest management or a related field.
  • Licenses: Possession of a Provincial Pesticide Applicator Licence is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in pest control is considered an asset.
Work Environment

This position is physically demanding and involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, along with bending and kneeling as necessary.

Transportation Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver's licence.
  • A vehicle will be provided by the employer for work-related travel.
