About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Home and Community Care Services team at Alberta Health Services. As an LPN, you will provide professional support services to clients of all ages and stages of life in their homes and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective nursing care according to AHS policies and nursing care standards.
  • Observe, monitor, report, and document changes in clients' physical, mental, and emotional state.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living and provide relevant information and teaching.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver consistent quality care and meet clients' needs.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an LPN working in Home and Community Care Services.
  • Experience with Wound Care.
  • Palliative care experience.
  • Experience with Meditech and Connect Care.
