The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Structural Engineering Group, you will be responsible for delivering innovative design solutions for a wide range of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform complex engineering calculations and assessments for structures composed of various materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  2. Utilize engineering software to analyze structural building components and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  3. Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and other project documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
  4. Collaborate with clients and other disciplines to coordinate project activities and ensure successful project delivery.
  5. Work closely with BIM staff to coordinate drawing preparation and complete engineering assessments.
  6. Participate in national practice technical initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in structural engineering.
  7. Manage project performance and ensure technical quality meets client expectations.
  8. Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Proven experience in the design or construction of new and renovation projects for various project types, including transportation infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of project planning, procurement, and construction phases.
