Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Building Engineering team in Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering structural engineering designs for projects across Ireland and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the structural engineering design team to deliver engineering designs for projects or major parts of large projects.
  • Plan and check the project work of engineers, graduates, and technicians, ensuring completion of design tasks to agreed deadlines and budget.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced members of the team.
  • Ensure compliance with Arup standards as set out in the company's quality procedures.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Structural Engineering or similar, MEng or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years post-graduate experience in the design and delivery of complex structural engineering projects.
  • Proven team player with experience of leading in the design of all aspects of building structures from conceptual layout to detailed design and construction.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, with a strong ability to communicate through sketching, drawing, presentations, and writing.
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Competent in design software packages.
